Aaron Niehaus is a Fargo, North Dakota-based folk and bluegrass artist whose music is rooted in tradition and shaped by a steadily growing artistic voice. Introduced to the fiddle at a young age by his mother- herself a member of the band "Friends and Neighbors", Aaron developed an early connection to acoustic music that would later define his sound. He began performing publicly in 2021 with the Cropdusters before founding the Kohlrabi Soup Bluegrass Band in 2022, which has since grown into a regional festival act. In 2023, Aaron stepped into the spotlight as a solo performer, where he found a new level of confidence and creative identity. Incorporating fiddle more prominently into his solo sets, he delivers performances that balance heartfelt songwriting, traditional influence, and an approachable, engaging stage presence. In his home state of North Dakota, Aaron leads initiatives promoting a thriving bluegrass and folk music scene, holding a spot on the Board for the Bluegrass Association of North Dakota (B.A.N.D) and founding the Red River Roots Collective in 2025.
